For Christmas 2009, CROZ decided to reallocate resources intended for buying Christmas presents for our business partners and donate to those in need. Last year a donation went to Krijesnica Association, and this year our donation goes to SOS Children's Village Croatia which includes SOS Children's Village Lekenik and SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci, and five SOS Youth Facilities. CROZ’s donation is comprised of computer equipment which will be allocated to SOS Children's Villages and SOS Youth Facilities.
SOS Children's Villages look after children without parents or parental care, regardless of their race, nationality or faith, providing them with love and security in the family environment, as well as a permanent home and education. The primary goal of SOS Children's Village Croatia is to provide a happy and peaceful childhood to children, teach them values and responsibilities, and to enable them to grow up with respect and dignity.
SOS Children's Villages are organized in a way that each child has a family where he/she would feel protected and would enjoy a feeling of belonging. SOS families live together, building village environment, where children can play safely and make friendships. Families exchange experiences and mutually help each other, and live as integrated and active members of local community. Such an environment provides children a foundation on which they can build their lives on. With love and acceptance emotional wounds are healed and self-confidence is built. Children are taught trust and faith in themselves and others, and by gaining self awareness each child may recognize and achieve his/her potential.
