JavaScript Basics   02.07.2012.- 06.07.2012.

This course's program focuses on Java programming language and the following basics of programming are learned in JavaScript: grammar, working with data structures, prototype, object-oriented aspects of JavaScript, functions and functional programming, treatment of exceptions, application of regular expressions, characteristics of a good programming style, unit testing the code and parts that should be avoided. This program is closely based on the book ''JavaScript: The Good Parts'' authored by Douglas Crockford. The instructional design involves a 30 minutes verbal presentation of material on a projection screen followed by 15-20 minutes of practice, depending on participants' experience - together constituting a typical one-hour lecture and repeating this 5-10 minutes at the beginning and middle of the day for two days.
