You can probably remember that we have organized our first conference on the subject of Project & Portfolio Management two years ago. Last year was reserved for Quality in Enterprise Development (QED) conference and now in 2009 we are going back to the themes concerning projects, portfolios, plans and resources although this time with fresh experiences and different speakers who will primarily be talking about how to successfully balance management of several different concurrent projects.
In the afternoon of the conference opening day, October 4, we will be presenting an unusual music project realized by collaboration between Ante Gele and Borna Šercar who jointly perform under the name of Amarosi, and who will undoubtedly create a truly interesting musical expression.
On the second day, in a series of introductory presentations, we will among others welcome Renata Glojnarić, executive director of Zagreb Soloists and Samobor Autumn Music Festival. Renata will share with us her experiences in organizing big cultural events consisting of several connected projects and will explain how to let creativity loose without jeopardizing set financial and time frames.
Central part of the conference is reserved for presentations which we are sure many of you are awaiting with great anticipation. Our old acquaintance, Vladimir Vuk, is coming to us with a brand new but notably current subject – How to prepare one’s organization and people in it for the changes projects bring? What really is organizational culture and can it even be changed in the first place? These are the questions to which Vladimir will try to answer, and since this same speaker sparked a lot of interest two years ago with his presentation about project portfolio management we have no doubt whatsoever how our guest from Amsterdam will be the star of the conference once again.
When it comes to our domestic project offices, we again have guests from the leading financial institutions RBA, PBZ, HYPO and FINA.
The conference is supported by the PMI branch, so we will also be hearing presentations by their experts coming from the Croatia branch. All PMI members will receive admission fee discount.
