The 10th FYI issue is published

Indeed, we have made it to the 10th FYI issue and have entered into our 5th year of publishing! Over these five years, FYI has covered numerous interesting current topics ranging from SOA, Spring, DataPower, and Filenet, to request management and Jazz RTC, Complex Event Processing and Cognos, quality management and mainframe.

The topic of this new FYI issue deals with agile methodologies in software developments, which are gaining more momentum in many organizations. Through a review of the most abundant methodologies such as Lean, Scrum, XP, and DAD, you will learn how agile methodologies can become your allies on the path to successful completion of projects.

January 2011 marked two years since the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Strategy for the development of electronic business which was aimed at connecting individual sectors through a networked administration office. Our sources from the Central State AdministrativeOffice for e-Croatia, APIS IT, and FINA, share with us key steps, some of which are yet to be taken.

As usual, we have presented new trends and technologies: Rational AppScan – a tool for analyzing the security code, IBM Maximo – an asset management system, Jaspersoft BI Suite platform and Activiti – open source tool for modeling and implementing business processes.

Additionally, we have presented to you a story through which you can learn about our team at our newly established Beograd office.

You can find the new FYI on our webpage.
