The CROZ Applicative Security System was developed in response to two business needs: the need for centralized management of application users’ authorization data and the need for separating authorization data from identity data.
At the same time, Applicative Security System is also storage for storing authorization data (RBAC based), a service intended for applications for retrieving authorization information about users and Spring Security 3.0 module for integrating Applicative Security System into J2EE applications.
Basic characteristics of Applicative Security System are:
• transparency of the application platform because the system is based on open standards (TCP / IP, LDAP, X.500, PKI, ...)
• for each platform, it is necessary to build an adapter to the Applicative Security System
• authorizations for all applications (with various platforms) that use the system are stored in one place • the system is applicable on online user applications, backend services, message oriented applications, etc.
